A man, shot six times, was taken to Cook County's Stroger Hospital Thursday night following a drive-by shooting in the Woodlawn neighborhood

A man, shot six times, was taken to Cook County's Stroger Hospital Thursday night following a drive-by shooting in the Woodlawn neighborhood, police said.

The man was walking on the 1500 block of East 62nd Street at about 7:45 p.m. when a silver vehicle approached and someone in the car opened fire.

The victim suffered bullet wounds to the chest, the right forearm and right side of the body, police said. He was taken to in critical condition to the hospital.



Calumet Area detectives are investigating. Police reported that no one was in custody.
