Javier Orosco

Javier Orosco of the 100 block of Meyers Road, was taken into custody Tuesday night at his home.
The shooting occurred on Jan. 5, near 119 Palmilla Road, Del Cerro, north of Vado.
Orosco was apprehended by deputies and investigators who were standing by at his home when Orosco drove up to the front of his residence along with two other individuals.
When first questioned about the incident, Orosco denied the allegations, but later confessed he was responsible for the shootings and acted alone, Nevarez said.
Investigators believe Orosco was accompanied by another individual during the commission of the crime. Not wanting to implicate this individual, Orosco said that this individual was not aware of his intentions at the time, Nevarez said.
Orosco was charged with two felony counts of shooting at or from a motor vehicle and two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Bond was set at $50,000 by Magistrate Judge Kent Wingenroth.
An outstanding magistrate court bench warrant, issued on Dec. 4, 2007, for failure to appear, was served on Orosco as well. Bond on that charge was set at $475.
