8-year-old boy was injured when he was struck by a bullet

An 8-year-old boy was injured when he was struck by a bullet in a drive-by shooting at his home west of Dinuba, in what is believed to be a gang-related incident

The boy, who lives in the 38000 block of Road 64, was found by Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies with a wound to his leg.
He was taken to an area hospital, treated for a non-life-threatening injury and later released.
The shooting happened at about 6 p.m. Thursday, according to the boy’s statement to deputies.
While the investigation at the boy’s house was taking place, a neighbor told deputies that someone also shot at his home.
Investigators found a single bullet hole in the neighbor’s home, but no one was hurt.
