Drive-by shooting victim released from hospital

Jontae Kitchens, an 18-year-old Victoria man who was injured in a drive-by shooting Saturday night, has been released from a Victoria hospital. Kitchens was walking on Oleander Drive toward Sabine Street in Victoria about 8 p.m. when a car drove behind him and his friend A.J. Quinonez, and started shooting, said Lt. Ralph Buentello, of the Victoria Police Department. Kitchens was shot in the right leg and taken by private vehicle to the hospital. Victoria Police Sgt. Adam Nieto said an investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
