Liverpool Echo - News - Liverpool Local News - Liverpool gangster James ‘Pancake’ Taylor bailed over shooting of West Derby dad Nicky Ayers: "James “Pancake” Taylor, 30, was allowed home after a day of questioning by detectives investigating the death of West Derby dad Nicky Ayers.
Ayers was gunned down outside his daughter’s home in South Cantril Avenue, West Derby, at around 12.10am on Thursday.
A post-mortem completed yesterday confirmed the 46-year-old, who managed the Western Approaches Sunday league football team, died from “multiple gun shot wounds”.
Police will not say how many times Ayers was shot but they have recovered up to six bullet casings from the handgun believed to have been used.
It is understood detectives have a vague description of the gunman."
