An X-ray scan helped officers find a hidden compartment in his bag containing more than two kilograms of white powder.
The man, a Surrey resident with no prior history of drug offences, was turned over to the RCMP.

One neighbor told WRC-TV Channel 4 that the shooting was deeply shocking for a suburban community that in the past has experienced little crime other than occasional graffiti.
Baxter said the shooting was reported about 3 p.m. The teenager's wounds are not considered life-threatening, he said."

A post-mortem completed yesterday confirmed the 46-year-old, who managed the Western Approaches Sunday league football team, died from “multiple gun shot wounds”.
Police will not say how many times Ayers was shot but they have recovered up to six bullet casings from the handgun believed to have been used.

Gang members jailed for shooting magician: "Edgar Raul Salgado, 19, and Aquiles Sanchez, 20, both of Placentia, and a 15-year-old Anaheim boy are accused of killing Adrian Ramos just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near 1336 E. Kenwood Ave., in a neighborhood south of the Riverside (91) Freeway, police said.
Ramos was rushed to UCI Medical Center in critical condition and died a short time later, police said.
The three males were arrested on suspicion of murder.
“The motive was robbery,” said Sgt. Tim Schmidt. “These gang members were driving around and had done two prior robberies — this was the third one.”
Ramos was a magician who had appeared “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” Schmidt said."
